Gibson Les Paul 1960 Jimmy Wallace by Tom Murphy. Made in 1992 for Jimmy Wallace A famous Texas guitar player and shop owner. He is the one that created the Heritage collection in the 80s. I don't know exactly how many were made in 1992 but not many and to my knowledge 1992 was the only year they were made. Jimmy Wallace sold a couple of his 1959 versions for $15,000 each last year. These guitars are the best of the best the finest maple tops and and hand-picked dry Mahogany backs. Makes for some of the lightest Les Pauls ever made by Gibson that are not chambered. Inside the bridge pick up it is signed by Tom Murphy and Jimmy Wallace underneath the lacquer. It is also signed by Jimmy Wallace on the back of the headstock. These guitars are far superior to the Historic Collection the only guitars that are comparable are the guitars made by Tom Murphy. I purchased this guitar in 1998 from the Burst Brothers at guitar center in Hollywood. Drew had been looking for this guitar for me for several years in a 1960 neck version. That was back before Bain capital purchase guitar center. I barely play this guitar it was purchased as a collectible has a few tiny marks on it which you can see in the photos only noticeable one is The rear where strap locks were put on it before I purchased it and I removed them. I had it set up by the Guitar Dr. in orange county California and the action is superlow neck is straight as an arrow. My photos were just taken with my iPhone no professional lighting no outside lighting to make the top look better than it is it actually is much better than my photos so you will get everything you see plus more!!!!
