In 2012,The two "Masters", Johnny Craviotto and Adrian Kirchler came together to design and create this incredible, one of a kind masterpiece: Craviotto Masters Metal Brass / Copper Hybrid Snare Drum. This drum is #35 out of 50 drums that were made. The top part of the two-piece shell is brass and the bottom is copper. Two-Piece shell design is modeled on the legendary Ludwig & Ludwig shells of the 1920's. As shown in one of the pictures, the double thick center bead is an overlap welding of brass and copper, making it possible to craft a very rigid shell out of such thin sheets. Brass shell is 0.7 mm and Copper shell is 0.8 mm. Bearing edges are soldered-back as shown in the picture. Final shell is hand brushed with oil impregnated beautiful patina finish that highlights the natural color of both metals. Badge is chrome over brass hand engraved with serial #. All production steps were done the traditional way - no heavy machinery involved - manufactured in-house. These drums came by standard with triple flange Craviotto hoops. I am the original owner and mine was specially ordered with Adrian Kirchler's 4 mm solid brass chrome plated hoops, additional $300 in cost. All in all, this was the biggest investment I made on a single snare drum. Features also include all chrome plated hardware as well as the chrome plated Trick GS007 strainer. This drum will be shipped to you in original Craviotto bag and box with a brand new Craviotto drum key (still in unopened bag). I will also be including an additional brand new Craviotto drumhead.
