Redpipe Classic Air - Air-blown Electronic BagpipeI bought these for quiet practice at home and in hotels when I was traveling for business. They have been only used a few times and work perfectly.Includes instructions, quick reference card and gig bag.Specifications:Pipes: french Cornemuse (after Remy Dubois), GHB, shepherd's pipe, Huemmelchen, medieval Bagpipe and Gaita fingeringwith a second thumb hole to allow the half open french playing mode. The little finger hole is turnable to support fingertips playing. The french chanter is adjustable for lefthanded players. The redpipe classic-air is a model with a blowpipe. The bag of the redpipe has to be filled with air using the blowpipe just as with traditional bagpipes. While playing the air escapes over a buit-in valve. The throughput of the valve can be adjusted to personal needs. So, it is the decision of the piper how much air he/she wants to blow in. This leads to a realistic way of piping. For beginners it is easier to get familiar with the specific air management of bagpipingThe bourdons/drones, the chanter and the overblowing function are pneumatically controlled by pressing the bag. The amount of pressure, which is necessary to get the instrument going is adjustable to individual needs. So, the instrument can be played without applying a lot of pressure to the bag.Fingering: open, half open - Scottish (GHB), chromatic, vibrato, Shepherd's pipe, Huemmelchen and Dudey, Renaissance, medieval Bagpipe ( in minor) and Gaita Gallega.SoundsScottish Highland Bagpipe (GHB), Smallpipe, medieval bagpipe and Gaita Gallega. The sound is sampled from the original pipes. The sounds are microprocessor controlled and are modified along the keys.Real Bagpipe SoundWith a traditional bagpipe the tone is in the beginning and the end of a tune a bit lower depending on the appropriate air pressure in the bag. This typical characteristic of a traditional bagpipe is part of the redpipe functionality.KeyKeys can be modified in halftone steps.Polypenco chanter with electrical sensorsMidi out1/4" Line outHeadphone jackVolume control
