Description
Early 1920's Stella parlor guitar. This guitar was inspected by a reputable repairman in Nashville TN and is in sound condition needing no repairs. A lr Baggs mic was also professionally installed. The top is wide grain spruce and back and sides are what appear to be birch. The neck I am told is poplar which was common to this time period.t he peghead has the empire jewelry store logo.the nut is ebony and the saddle is bone.the bridge is rosewood. The finish is worn because this guitar was obviously played alot and with the low action and slight v- shaped neck, it is an easy guitar to play. Sound is crisp with nice tone. Also on the left front of the peghead, there is a black line. This is NOT a crack but just wood grain. As I mentioned the finish has playing wear and light scratches.the top is bound in ivoroid binding. If you play gigs, you will love the natural acoustic sound of the LR Baggs mic.and it goes relatively unnoticed not upsetting the look of this vintage guitar. Stella's from this time period are getting hard to come by and will only appreciate in value. It also comes with a new hard shell case. Email and I will be more than glad to answer any questions. Sale is final and buyer pays shipping. Thanks for looking. |
