This particular one has a fairly low serial number 156 out of 1000 total production guitars worldwide. Therefore it features Brian's signature at the back of the headstock. We have seen these guitars go for 10 grand and upwards, so at this price, you could consider it as a bargain.This Guild Brian May Signature model was Guild's second faithful reproduction of Brian May's Red Special. Made in 1994 only as a limited edition of 1000 instruments. The pickups were Seymour Duncan reproduction of the Burn's Tri-Sonics. The tremolo and bridge system are custom made by Schaller and are more accurate reproduction of Red Special than the Kahler units seen on the earlier Guild BHM1 model.This limited edition run had Brian May's signature as decal on the back of the headstock. Half were made for the US market and the rest were exported. The ones destined for the US had serial numbers prefixed with BHP or BHM, whereas the European ones have ME prefix. Identical models (but without the signature) were called the Brian May Pro and were available in a range of colors.Overall condition of the guitar is good. It shows signs of being played with some minor belt buckle and pick-guard scratches, but nothing major. There is a very small nick in the finish at the back of the headstock, (see photos). It is a nice player's condition guitar with great low action set up with no fret buzz anywhere on the neck. It comes with the original case, manual and tremolo arm. Tuners have been upgraded to the Sperzel black chrome locking tuners for better tuning stability and the previous owner drilled the small holes in the pick-guard so the pickup height can be adjusted with the tiny screwdriver, without taking off the whole pick-guard to do the same.
