This is an stunning example of an antique brass instrument.This horn has a beautiful tone. All rotors and slides work well. Brand engraving and floral engraving on rotors. Includes two silver mouthpieces- Conn 2, and Vincent Bach Corp 11.
Aside from a few small dents and scratches, horn is in very good condition. Wooden and leather case is made by USA Excelsior, lined in purple velvet, in moderate condition with a few external aesthetic maladies- repairable.
I contacted Gerb. Alexander Mainz Horn Makers and received the response : "This horn is made somewhen around 1920 to 1925 and it seems to be in a very good shape.We did not use serial numbers at that time."According to this timeline, horn was made in West Germany in early 1920s.This horn is a rare piece for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
