This clarinet is from the estate of a former band director who collected vintage instruments. It needs to be reconditioned and TLC service to get it in concert form. This is a very nice full Boehm clarinet. The serial number is 383 S1 putting it from the 20's and the markings say "Buffet Crampon & Co A Paris" The bell has the logo as seen in the picture. There are some keys that aren't on modern clarinets.. see photo's. It also has the donut key and shared upper throat post which dates it pre R13. The case is a Buffet case but I'm not sure it is original. You will need to have this clarinet serviced before you will be able to play it. The issues that I see with the clarinet are: needs new pads and possibly corks keys are sluggish and it needs to be dissassembled and cleaned might need new springs The lowest pinky key is missing- someone will need to add The bell has a crack that seems repaired on the bottom... and a section is missing.. see pics I've done my best to take HQ photos at every angle to show everything to you. I'm not a clarinet expert, but I can tell by the reaction I've had showing it around that it is special and I would like it to go to a good home. Good luck and happy bidding!
