I'm selling my vintage Japanese Tokai Breezysound Tele that I've owned since 1985/86. Sadly it's had very little use in my ownership and has been mostly in storage in the 31 yrs that I've owned it hence its now time to let go.  I bought the guitar from a good music shop, it was not brand new when I bought it so it's probably an 84/85.  The original maple 52' style neck with the Klusson type tuners had a fault from the outset having an unusual warp. Despite efforts over the years to solve it, it worsened and I gave up with it.  I searched in vain for another Tokai Breezysound neck so I eventually replaced it,7 or 8 yrs ago, with a nice very early Mighty Mite one (1981) satin maple with rosewood fingerboard - it's a 62' style with a slightly flatter radius than the original one which makes it a faster player. I couldn't use the original Klusson tuners on this neck so I bought some quality early 80s bronze or brass? ones - I think they are were made by Gotoh.  The original. Tokai neck and tuners are included in the sale.
Apart from the original neck issue, the guitar sounds amazing and is almost completely original. When I replaced the neck I screened the pick-up and switch cavities with copper and it's possible that I replaced one tone pot.
I used a 'safety' guitar strap so the pin fittings are new but the original Tokai ones are included should you choose to use them.  It's a deep cherry red colour with beautiful double edged binding and all the white parts are now beautifully aged cream/ivory colour. It comes with the hard hard flight case which although not made for a Tele, it fits very well.  It's in remarkably good condition with a few very light scratches and barely noticeable dings and without any paint/varnish loss.  The plastic cap on the toggle switch is slightly damaged but it doesn't affect its use. I'm not a gigging musician and am not so hot regards technical issues but please ask if you have any questions. I would recommend that whoever buys it have it professionally set up at some point as it's never been done as it always seemed close to perfect in my opinion.  I'm British living in Slovenia and only accept PayPal.  Courier tracked post within the EU will be £50  - not cheap but it includes insurance and I won't send it otherwise.  Thanks for looking.
