Up for sale is a beautiful, "special order" level V.Pavlovs Balalaika instrument with stunning flamed maple back. Victor is old age but he is still one the best Russian balalaika makers and he's a legend.
This instrument is brand new and was completed on December 2016. The Balalaika is made of aged, highest-quality, premium woods – the body is made of aged, naturally dried (not kiln-dried) flame maple; the body top is resonant spruce; the neck is a combination of woods.This instrument has an outstanding concert-quality sound, has a beautiful tone with complex overtones and long sustain. The craftsmanship and build quality is top notch and and yes - this instrument definitely does have that Pavlovs signature balalaika sound that many foreign Balalaika players are looking for. There are no better balalaikas out there, no matter how much money you are going to spend. The instrument will be shipped in a custom-made case (a $200 value), and the case is included in the auction. This Balalaika was carefully inspected by maestro Alexander Tsygankov himself (my dad), who is “People’s artist of the Russian Federation” and a professor at Gnesin’s Academy of Music.
