**AUCTION OPEN TO USA BUYERS, WITH USA BANK ACCOUNTS AND USA SHIPPING ADDRESSES ONLY. SO PLEASE, NO FURTHER INQUIRIES..THX!**Very rare 1985 Gibson Q series Custom Shop guitar! Not much information on the web about these guitars. The only site I found anything on these guitars is on a site called guitar attack. If you click on their link (on the left side of page) called "Interesting Guitars", you will find some valuable information. Apparently, (based on what is stated there), there was only a hand full of these guitars ever made. And this one may be a Q4000??..Q3000??. It has a set neck/neck through construction, (meaning it is not a bolt on neck), two P-90 (single coil) pick-ups (just LOVE the "snarl" of these pups :-) and a humbucker (mini) which is really cool! These pickups appear to be original. Look at the pictures of the electronics compartment. The soldier joints appear to be all original, and untouched! (And a really GREAT configuration!! I have seen several of these guitars over the years, but this is the only one I had ever seen with this pickup configuration. That's what I love about the Custom Shop, you can get any combination of pickups and wiring you want !!! Which is a true Custom Shop feature. Not the "production line" stuff where everything is exactly the same. Each piece can be as unique as you want it to be..:-) :-)... (Thanks to the ebayers sharing their information about this guitar! It is possible that this guitar was manufactured with routes for three P-90's, {which would make this a guitar a Q3000}, and apparently a mini humbucker is the same size as a P-90, therefore a "drop-in" to a P-90 route. This does make sense..since with the Custom Shop, you can get any combination of pickups and wiring you want! This would support why the soldier joints appear to be all original, and untouched! As stated before, these pickups appear to be original, and a testimony to a typical Custom Shop feature..custom pickup configurations & wiring !) Has a master volume and tone control, two toggle switches for the pick ups, and a Kahler Flyer tremolo, (arm is included), and locking nut. It is a solid body guitar, with a Black dulled finish.-probably due to age- (Not sure, but I think it may be made of Mahogany, based on the exposed wood inside of the electronics) and a super fast, smooth Ebony fret board. Frets are in GREAT shape too !! This guitar is now 32 years old, and while it is "player's grade", it is in very good shape!! (And nothing like OLD WOOD in an instrument for the tone that only time & natural aging can bring !!!) It does have a nick here and there, and some minor impressions/dings. The Original Hard shell Case is also in excellent condition for it's age. A mark here and there, etc,. You certainly will not be disappointed with this guitar !!!.. Please email if you have any questions..thanks for looking :-) .. and....Good Luck !!Now for the business stuff ;-)If you have a feedback rating of less that 10 transactions, please email first before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. No Echecks. Will ship to confirmed, physical addresses only.No APO/FPO's.
