I have closed my professional recording studio and we are selling everything. It all must go. Check out my other auctions. In the coming weeks I will be selling a ton of gear - everything from instruments to mics and pre-amps, effects, digital I/O equipment, to cables and snakes.Throughout my entire studio and all the gear I acquired over the years, this is one of the few items I absolutely loved. This is probably one of the most "boutiquey" mic preamps out there. Dan Alexander only made a few in the early 2000's. They were built using old Neve parts and Dan's ability to select the right parts and put them together made these mic pre amps simply outstanding. There are lots of Neve knock-offs (for good reason) and this is one, but there is a little more to it. The sound is classic big, fat, and very Neve, but it's more. Much more. It's huge! It's in your face and it sparkles (for lack of a better word.) This was my go-to mic-pre for vocals every single time. From a smokey, sultry deeper woman's voice to a man's screaming metal. Acoustic instruments, sax, anything you want in front of your mix and with enormous definition. Don't believe me? Google it. There are several good reviews out there that will tell you the same thing I am saying here. Think you can wait and just pick one up later? Good luck with that. These are rare as virginity at . . . . well, you get the idea.
