I'm moving to Costa Rica so I have to liquidate some awesome gear. Up for auction is one of my favorite guitars, a 1974 Gibson L6-S. This one has a solid, one piece maple body.
As you can tell from the pictures, this guitar is lightly used and has very light fret wear. It plays like a dream and the maple neck is slick and smooth. The pots and switches are quiet and noiseless. It's completely original except for the tuners which have been replaced by Planet Waves Locking tuners. You can find original L6-S tuners on ebay if you want to make it totally original.
You can get a full throated humbucker sound, a crisp jazz chime or a clean country twang from this great axe. They don't make 'em like this any more.
The L6-S was Carlos Santana's favorite guitar back in the early 70's and is unique in it's variable tone, 6 selector switch that included a couple of Fender single coil sounds in it's arsenal.
Do a google search of the Gibson L6-S for a better understanding of this historic, fantastic sounding guitar.
Let me know if you want more pics or info. The guitar will be shipped fully insured. Check my feedback and bid with confidence.
