I just can't keep three sets of pipes going, so I'm offering up these MacLellan Pipes purchased in the Fall of 2015. They have a big old-school tone, easy to reed, easy to tune. I have not played them much, just enough to keep them going; they've been in the three-set rotationThese pipes were inspired by a set on display at the National Museum in Scotland said to be bravely played at Waterloo, this set has a definite historic feel. The Blackwood and Hard Maple give a warm, aged look to the pipes, although the sound is modern and Roddy's signature sound. Roddy MacLellan is a talented artisan pipemaker. Limited production, distinctive styles, and pride of craftsmanship at every step set MacLellan bagpipes apart.
