The P2 dual channel Studio Channel is the recording professional's choice, with two CurrentSense channels, optical compression and EQ with dual mono and stereo operation.
The tfpro Twin Studio Channel P2 is the choice for the discerning professional who needs a combination of facility, vintage sounds and above all, quality. We have included our most highly developed CS (CurrentSense) pre amplifier with a custom matched optical compressor and phase active EQ to produce a recording channel that is unmatched to date for its versatility adaptability and sound. The InputThe input stage of the Twin is so capable that you can almost use any sound source in any input. The use of 5 distinct gain stages with a unique linking configuration gives a stunning 65dB of gain range from the pre alone. Couple this with a further 26dB from the pad for a 91dB gain swing, and a total system gain of up to 75dB. This is complimented by the inclusion of mic, line and instrument inputs, all with differing sensitivity, giving you the best possible performance from any musical source. The optical compressorThe optical compressor adds superb warmth and feeling to vocal and instrument sources. However, the Twin uses a linking system to allow for use as a stereo channel. This means that you can completely track a project using the Twin, then produce a superb master by mixing through it as well. The Phase Active EqualiserThe Phase active equaliser is becoming a standard among tfpro products. These days, all digital systems have built in EQ, so why have one on your outboard? Simple. They sound different. Software based EQ sounds brittle and harsh compared to the tfpro phase active eq that subtly alters the phase of the signal as well as harmonically interacting with the signal and between the bands. The complex interactions are a result of a well designed analogue EQ that cannot be modelled on a digital system. This gives the engineer a greater range of effect without making the EQ sound too obvious, superb for trackcking and mixing applications. It is a powerful tool. The ControlsInputInput gainPAD -26dBHigh pass filter (75Hz)Mic/Line switchPhantom (+48V)Mic (XLR)/Line (TRS JACK) /Instrument (Unbalanced JACK) inputsCompressorCompression (threshold/comp drive) controlSlope (optical ratio control)Attack 0.5ms-10msRelease 0.25-2.5sCompression bypass/indicator controlCompression metering on main VUPhase active EQLF +/- 15dB@100HzMF +/- 15dBMFf 1KHz-4KHzHF +/- 15dB@10KHzMeter - Large VU meter with mode facility, shows VU or compression in dBLink switch and indicator, links the compression side chain for stereo compression.FeaturesXLR Mic input - High sensitivity CurrentSense.Balanced line input - Low sensitivity +4 line level input 20K ohmInstrument input - (front panel jack) optimised impedance inputInsert point - 300 ohm out 20K ohm inBalanced outputs - 300 ohm (x2) per channelPower -  230/110V switchable at fuse holderOn/Off switch
