The GX8000 is a professional 8 track MOdisk recorder, packaged in a 3U, 19" rack mounting unit. All functionsare accessible from the front panel and relevant information is displayed on two 8 character alpha numeric displays. The enhanced feature set makes the GX8000 suitable for wide range of recording applications, from film dubbing and scoring to archiving, mastering and location recording.
The GX8000 can record audio at resolutions from 16 bits per sample to 24 bits per sample (an effect dynamic range of 144 dB). Sample rates can be adjusted from 32kHz to 96kHz (high sample rate in dual wire AES mode). An 8 channel digital mixer is built into the recorder. The output of the mixer is fed through a DA converter to the headphones output on the front panel, and digitally to an AES XLR connector at the rear of the unit. You can alter the gain, phase and stereo position of each channel in the monitor mix.
