Made in Japan, this 5 string fretless bass is a true players bass. The active electronics produce a range of beautiful tones that truly need to be heard in person to be appreciated.The action is set low but perfect, the neck is straight and the strings don't rattle unless you are really digging in. It always brings a smile to my face when I play it.The fretless setup is wonderful, and the flat wound strings still have plenty of life. The bass does have fret lines where the frets would be to help those transitioning from fretted to fretless.The low B really booms and the regular bass register sounds amazing, I can't say enough good things about this bass.Comes with Yamaha badged hard case, case does not have keysAlso comes with nice gold strap locks to match hardware and purple bass strap.The hardware on the bass is gold obviously but the body of the bass is more interesting, the wood grain can be easily seen through the paint, the paint appears either black or purple depending on the light that is shining on it, I haven't figured out what kind of light gives you which color but it is black most of the time it seems.Please message with any questions you may have.As far as damage there are very minimal flaws to the paint but not much. The worst are some scratches at the base of the bridge.
