Hi,I'm selling my full scale Stefan Sobell bouzouki/Cittern, made in late 1979.The first large bodied cittern he ever made, and the last one he made in his old workshop!I'm the 2nd owner from new.Scale length from nut to bridge is 645mmTotal length of instrument is 1045mmWidth of body is 390mmDepth of body at heel is 100mmCondition is brilliant for its age, just a few dings as to be expected from general play. This was originally made as a ten string, but after a few years the 1st owner had it professionally converted to an 8 string by Joe Foley, renowned bouzouki maker in Dublin, Ireland. This work included a new saddle & nut, headstock downsized and re-faced in rosewood as per original, and neck shaped and finished to suit the 8 strings. An extremely tidy job!It has a Cedar top, and beautiful Indian rosewood back/sides.Mahogany neck.Brand new Grover machine heads fitted in 2016, and two small screw cracks repaired (see pics)Comes with a fitted Mike Mullen case. It's fitted with two working pickups, the original fishman and a new K&K.These are extremely rare on the market these days, so grab the chance! The sound both acoustically & plugged in is superb! Please see photos for details, or message me with any questions and I'll get back to you asap. Thanks
