2014 Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop 56 Reissue.
RARE COLOR, FROM THE “BEAUTY OF THE BURST” BOOK!! You're looking at a 2014 Gibson Les Paul 1956 Historic, with a Sweet Cherry GLOSS finish on a nice flamed maple top. The gloss finish is an upcharge and looks way better than the Gibson "VOS" finishes. If you are looking for something unique, this gorgeous guitar certainly qualifies.
This is one on the lightest Les Pauls I've ever played, a real featherweight, weighing only 8.4 lbs! Very comfortable to play, not a heavy boat anchor like many others. Aside from it’s beautiful looks, the guitar plays effortlessly. This superb instrument is highly resonant acoustically and has fantastic tone.
This guitar was hand-picked and custom built for Dave’s Guitar Shop. The beautiful cherry color was selected to match the guitar found on page 159 of “The Beauty of the Burst” book. The guitar is in near mint condition, with no nicks, dings or scratches. The only thing that keeps it from being perfect is that there is a bit of fret wear, mainly in the first position (see pic). Other than that the guitar looks brand new. Just a beautiful, unique and rare guitar, with it’s entire life ahead of it! Also included is the original brown Lifton Gibson Custom Shop hard shell case, Certificate of Authenticity, the uninstalled pickguard, and all case candy.

Glossy finish, Lightly figured top, Aniline Dye used on the body and neck, Accurate vintage color fingerboard and body binding that is a darker Cream to match the original 50’s era binding, Hide Glue neck fit, Single layer Rosewood fingerboard, New Historic truss rod assembly without the tube surround, P-90 bridge and neck pickups, Kluson “Deluxe” Green tuning keys.
