This Watkins Westminster Amplifier (as used by the Beatles in their "Cavern Club" days) was acquired by the present Owner in late 1968 (together with the separately-listed Watkins Rapier 33 Guitar) since when it has never been played outside of a house. Save for the loss of the brass fittings on two of the three controls the condition is as it was when the unit was acquired. When last switched on (many years ago) the amplifier was working, albeit with crackles, as was the tremolo, but a service is probably long overdue.since nothing internally has been touched since it was acquired. Comes with original footswitch. Power on bulb needs replacing but the amp was still working when tested on 06 Feb 2017. ***IMPORTANT NOTE: Being a valve amplifier any purchaser should be aware that they accept full resposibilty if posting is required as the valves and circuitry are notoriously delicate particularly in a vintage amp such as this. Personal collection is strongly recommended!***Returns & Refunds:We pride ourselves on the quality of our items and serviceAll our items are carefully packed and are covered by appropriate postal insurance where applicable. We do not accept returns unless the item is clearly not as described in the listing or is damaged in transit. In the unlikely event that a return should be necessary the buyer is responsible for return post and packing and must ensure adequate postal insurance. We will then offer a full refund (exc. Postage), upon receipt.
