Description PRS Paul Reed Smith Curly 4 BASS 1989 SET NECK Extremely Rare Collectible Excellent Condition   From my personal collection: As many others, I became a fan of PRS guitars from the first one I saw and then a rabid fan after the first time holding one.  In many ways, they are the perfect guitar.  Over the next few weeks, I will be listing more PRS guitars from my collection. This bass guitar is rare because it is from 1989, early in the PRS history.  Even though it does not have the famed carved top of the other PRS models of that time period, it has the incredible “curly maple top”.  Only about 600 of these basses were built before the cessation of the PRS bass program in the early 1990’s. THIS IS A PRS COLLECTIBLE GUITAR and is an important component of any PRS collection. The finish on this guitar is incredible and extremely difficult to photograph.    DETAILS OF THIS BASS GUITAR: 1.      Built in September, 1989. 2.      Solid Mahogany Body. 3.      Rock Maple Neck. 4.      Brazilian Rosewood Fretboard. 5.      Custom Bird Inlay (was up grade option). 6.      Curly MAPLE TOP (thick) 7.      3 Single Coil Pickups plus 1 Hum Canceling. 8.      PRS pre-amp. 9.      5 position rotary switch. 10.       Finish is:  PRS BLACK CHERRY.   This guitar is in excellent cosmetic and operational condition.  The finish does show scratches etc. that come from playing the guitar but none are serious.   It does not have an original case which were an option at the time this guitar was purchased.  It does have an OEM case that works very well. The guarantee. 1.           The guitar is in VERY GOOD cosmetic condition and is as described in this ad.  2.          The guitar is in fully operational condition. 3.          Buyer has 48 hrs. to inspect the guitar or have it inspected.  Any defects, damage, misrepresentations or other problems must be reported within that time period in writing to the Seller. 4.          In the case of damage during shipment, Buyer shall immediately inform seller of such damage and will maintain all original packing materials and box for inspection by the transportation company. 5.          If other problems are discovered, Seller will either arrange for repair etc. at a location near the Buyer or request that the Buyer return the guitar to the Seller (Seller will reimburse Buyer for cost of shipment of guitar back to Seller). 6.          Seller will correct indicated problems and ship the guitar back to the Buyer within 7 days of receiving it. 7.          In the event that the guitar cannot be repaired, the Seller will give the Buyer the option of a Credit against current or future inventory of Seller or refund.
