Here is a Holton H-379 Double French Horn in excellent condition. This is a solid nickel silver Kruspe wrap symphonic double horn. It plays very well, and it looks as though it has only been played a few times by its previous owner. The valves move well with like-new compression and the slides all move of course. As for the aesthetic condition of this horn, there are just a couple of tiny pings, and some isolated scratches in the lacquer. The imperfections are so small that they are probably not visible in the pictures, and certainly none of them affect the playability of the horn. This instrument has been professionally cleaned in our shop. This instrument comes with a hardshell case and a mouthpiece in good condition.How the horn plays: Big, full sound. The tone is warm, clear and smooth. The Bb and F side timbres and intonation match well, with the Bb side timbre being very slightly brighter. The horn is very responsive and free-blowing.
