This listing is for a 1953 original lacquer KING ZEPHYR tenor saxophone serial 336XXX. The instrument was made in Cleveland, Ohio during the golden years of the H. M. White Company.  It is basically a Super 20 with less ornate engraving.  It has been lovingly kept in top condition throughout its life and has no dents, pucks, or solder repairs. The original finish has aged to a beautiful golden patina with some spotting & normal playing wear.It has been overhauled with new shellacked-in pads, felts & corks, utilizing the original metal resonators. It has no leaks. The keys are tight & quiet. It plays effortlessly with great warmth from low Bb through the altissimo range. This sax is the quintessential jazz sax and will rival the best vintage Selmer VI's. It has a double socket neck with matching serial number and shows no evidence of any damage or pull down. Also included is the neck tenon end cap that came with the instrument. It comes with a LEATHER REUNION BLUES gig bag in great condition.Sorry, I will ship to the lower 48 US states only. The sax is listed locally so it may be terminated early.
