A beautiful F-style Mandolin, hand built by Grady Jones in approx 2009. He makes fine mandolins one at a time, this is model #55. He only makes about 5-6 per year. You can visit his web site to see his construction methods and design features.This mandolin model is a bit deeper than most and has a loud booming "banjo-killer" volume. I bought it new from him I think about 2010 and played it regularly in church group, always in smoke free environments for about 3 years. It has sat in its case for the last 3 years. I can find no scratches except one tiny one where the pick-up clamp is mounted (see pic).It has great action and is a professional instrument. I have added an acoustic pick-up to it, but it can be removed easily. It's tone is nice and I would say it doesn't quite have as much bass as a Weber, but very clear and delightful sounding with a nice ring.I am torn to sell this as we have had many great times together and my wife loves to listen to it sing. It really is beautiful, as most good mandolins are, and sounds great in a combo. I played in an acoustic group that consisted of 2 guitars, a uke, and a loud banjo and 4 singers with microphones. It fit in great and cut through everything clearly.I can take more pics if you want, and answer any questions you might have. I hope that the person who buys this will cherish it and play it often!
