Up for sale.....is an extremely unique Ayotte snare drum. This is a "one of a kind", Prototype Custom Drum, developed and built by Ray Ayotte himself.
It may first appear as other top of the line Ayotte snares but believe me, it has many unique, special qualities, and improvements.
The aptly named "888" measures 14" x 6.5" and is an 8 ply all Maple shell, with 8 ply Maple re rings, 8 tension lugs, and 16 ply Maple Hoops!
New design features include stainless steel prototype Claws and Ayotte Rack & Pinion snare switch, prototype stainless steel snare butt and badge.
New, no-spray piano black spar polyurethane finish on the shell and outer hoop face. UV protection outdoor quality.
Interior finished with tung seed oil satin, and proudly displays "New Era" design, date and signature of Ray Ayotte.
