2001 Fender American Standard Stratocaster. 3 tone sunburst over 2 piece alder body, 1 piece maple neck. Fender tortoiseshell pickguard with Fender Vintage Noiseless Pickups (same as Fender Eric Clapton Signature Strat) with 1 meg pots and a treble bleed kit on the master volume(this retains the highs when you roll off the volume so the tone doesn't get muddy). Comes with Fender SKB deluxe hardshell case. Schaller strat locks, tremolo arm, extra tremolo springs, allen wrenches are in the case pocket. This guitar is in great condition and plays and sounds great. The neck is straight with no warp or twist and the truss rod works perfectly. The action is nice and low and I have set the trem up to float. The frets have normal play wear but do not buzz or fret out. The body has light scratches and swirl marks in the finish, but you have to look up close in the right light form them to be visible, as you can see from the pics. There are some dings in the finish on the front of the upper horn, but you have to turn it in the light to catch it. There is one ding through the finish on the bottom edge, which you can see in the pic. Please ask any questions you have before bidding. Payment is due within 24 hours of auction's close.
On Mar-12-17 at 14:11:42 PDT, seller added the following information:Update - 3/12 5:00pm EST:The Strat weighs 7 lbs and 13 oz.If you want to listen to a video demo of the Fender Noiseless pickups, make sure you listen to one produced by Fender. If it's not a video done by Fender, make sure the person has wired the Vintage Noiseless pickups to 1 meg pots. Different pickups are designed to work certain potentiometer and capacitor values. If someone just replaced their stock single coils with the Vintage Noiseless pickups but did not also replace the stock 250k pots(which happens a lot), then the pickups will not sound right(they would sound muddy or dull). In the same way, true single coils will not sound right with 1 meg pots(they would sound way to bright or shrill). Keep this in mind whenever you listen to a demo or read a review of any kind of pickup.
