Up for auction is my David Gilmour Tribute strat that I carefully put together, never having plans to sell but sadly have to. Excellent condition Guitar was used just at home only by an adult only. No signs of abuse, VERY light wear that you'd expect from minimal use after a few years of in home ownership. There is a very small pen head ding shown in one of the pics. Also the tiny sticker that says "Original Contour Body," well the "Ori" from the word "Original" is faded off which happened when it was being cleaned since these decals are done old school, OVER the lacquer Anyway, after seeing that these cost 5 thousand dollars I wanted to make one better for far less. NECK: The neck is from my Eric Johnson strat because I tried the original Gilmour and found it too thin. The EJ is a 12" radius. Check the reviews on the EJ maple neck strat people rave on the neck. The finish on the BACK of the neck was redone to a poly finish by the previous owner because he had an allergy to the nitro. This is shown in the pictures and it was professionally done. And by the way the neck is the only part I'm not the original owner onPICKUPS: The pickups were wired by Sigler Music to the pickguard with only the best pots and wiring. They use Dave's choice of pickups / configuration. Fender Fat 50s in the neck, Fender 69 custom for mid and a Seymour Duncan SL-5 in the bridge. Of course this includes the toggle to incorporate the neck pickup in any position. TUNERS: Fender Vintage locking tuners KNOBS: Instead of the ho hum white plastic I went with chrome knobs with white pearl tops. Adds some classNECK PLATE: I had a lazer etched picture of David made. It's one of a kind, custom ordered with the pic of my choiceTREM SPRING COVER: has a Dark Side of the Moon sticker over it which fits perfectlyShortened tremolo arms like Mr. Gilmour prefers. Body cavity is lined in copper shielding tape and body is by Fender, made of alder. Also you may notice in pics a few black screws out of the pickguard. They're there nowOff brand gig bag included to help ensure safe arrival. If you prefer an original Fender hard case (not an ATA) included (good condition, not "excellent." A few flaws) I can include that for a reasonable 50 dollars extra, upon request Please be prepared to pay same day as auction close, with paypal only.
