Offered is a very rare Aria Pro II RS Esprit Guitar in Phantom Blue. Made in Japan by Matsumoku. Produced briefly between '83-'85, this was Aria's answer to the Super Strat phenomenon of the era. This model was Yngwie Malmsteen's guitar of choice when he played with Alcatrazz (see last pic). If it's good enough for YJM, it's probably good enough for the rest of us.Do a quick browse and you will see Japanese sellers offering this identical model for about $1200+ USD. Buy American and save.Factory specs: The guitar features an alder body with maple neck, slab rosewood fretboard with 22 frets, 650mm scale length, 2 RSP-I single coil pickups, 1 slave middle pickup, master volume with power switch, 2 active tone controls, 2 Q selector switches, 3-position toggle switch, LED active on/off indicator, ACT-I tremolo system, die cast Gotoh tuners, bone nut, gold hardware, and the gorgeous phantom blue finish.The original owner did not play it much. Amazing neck, plays and sounds fine, but could probably use fresh strings and a setup by the new owner. The active single coils are very hot stack sounding and goes great with overdrive / distortion, think YJM. There is minimum fret wear around the 1st position cowboy chord area and the fretboard has plenty of life left in it. There are minor age - appropriate wear if you study the guitar closely, but nothing that really jumps out at you. Most appear to be age tarnish, sticker, and polish residue that could polish off easily. Please review all pictures carefully.
