It's a Warwick Corvette Standard 4 string bass ,the first prototypes of Corvette bubinga body series .This bass is similar to the Warwick Thumb bass of the same year and has a very little difference : neck pickup position and bigger body than Thumb. This corvette is more versatile than the thumb ,also pairing with a traditional Jazz bass.
The body is crafted from beautiful African Bubinga wood which gives the instrument a very rich deep sound. Neck and fretboard are crafted from Wenge wood . Headstock top is Ebony wood and looks amazing .I love the feel of the neck in my hands . The space between strings is nice ,which is comfortable for slap technique. They say the bubinga basses weight a lot but this one is not that heavy you would expect , which is a good for your neck in those long gigs .
Big sounds can be reached with the MEC Jazz pickups that are passive and original of this bass .
