Gibson Hummingbird Artist Acoustic Electric guitar in Heritage Cherry together with the Original Gibson Case and Documentation as purchased. This guitar was made at the Bozeman Plant, MT in 2008 and carries the Model Id. SSHBAHCGH1 and Serial No. 02388005 which can be seen on the included Gibson quality control Final Checklist. I had a very slight adjustment made to the guitar's setup by a professional luthier at World of Strings, Long Beach, CA. The bottom of the saddle (the single bone / plastic piece that spans the bridge) was skimmed a tiny amount which slightly lowered and enhanced the action tremendously. Before posting this ad I surveyed the guitar very carefully and found just two slight blemishes which you won't find unless you do a detailed survey yourself. Both are on the back of the guitar and you can look for them by zooming in on the photos. The first is a very small area (1-2") where the finish is slightly dull and which would probably disappear with a little Gibson guitar polish. The second is close to the butt on the left side of the back and appears to be a superficial scratch about 1/2" long which you can feel if you run a fingernail over it. I took a picture so the light hit it too These two imperfections are the only ones I could find. This guitar sounds amazing. The intonation seems perfect and the guitar stays tuned for the longest time. This is the only acoustic guitar I've used on a recording. Being acoustic-electric, the guitar can be both miked and direct connected at the same time giving two separate tracks from each take. When not recording, the guitar sounds brilliant either played acoustically or amplified using the built-in pickup. Finally, the wood is so aromatic which is very noticeable and pleasing every time the case is opened.Enough of my banter so on to Gibson's words and specifications: Product InformationPart of the historic collection, the Gibson Hummingbird Artist Acoustic-Electric Guitar is built around the celebrated square-shoulder dreadnought design and is hand-crafted in the U.S. The washed heritage cherry finish offers the look of a well-seasoned vintage instrument while the unadorned pickguard gives it distinction from other Hummingbirds. Construction details include a deluxe solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides that deliver the tonal balance sought by singer-songwriters. The round mahogany neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard inlaid with mother-of-pearl parallelograms. The Hummingbird Artist Acoustic-Electric is equipped with a top-quality L.R. Baggs Element undersaddle pickup and unobtrusive preamp soundhole-mounted volume control. The top has 6-ply binding and the back is bound in 4 plies. Traditional appointments include gold keystone tuners, an MOP headstock crown inlay, tortoise pickguard, and a vintage rosewood bridge. This Gibson guitar comes with Gibson's Premium Hard Case
