Amazing Marshall Vintage Modern 100W all-valve guitar head in near mint condition. (2466)Needs little hyperbole, the now discontinued Marshall Vintage Modern head is one of the best amps recent Marshall have built. Its designed by the same guy (Jim Dawson) that did the limited edition Jimi Hendrix signature stack and has as similar ethos. It has two parallel channels each with their own gain allowing you to blend two different amp characters. It was designed as the ultimate players amp as its extremely dynamic and responds to you playing touch and guitar volume. Its nothing like the DSL and other modern amps Marshall made. A dynamic range button switching in additional gain (footswitchable) giving you tones ranging from vintage to modern, all in one simple platform, hence the name. As a result its an amazing pedal platform and can delivery really quite impressive cleans as well and touch-sensitive gain tones and as this is the 100W version the cleans and breakup tones are full and weighty. I believe Paul Gilbert used the VM and Robin Trower recorded a recent album using the same model head, which goes to show just how versatile it is!This head has never been used out of the house (smoke free), as I've switched to a portable modelling rig I need to fund some FRFR speakers so the VM has to go. Has black chicken head knobs fitted for easy of use but comes with the original Marshall knobs and footswitch. Had a recent re-valve so its absolutely ready to rock.
