Soares’y “SUB BARITONE” PROTO-TYPE Guitar ONLY 2 MADE. 2003. RARE & UNIQUE.

Soares’y  “SUB BARITONE”  PROTO-TYPE  Guitar  ONLY 2 MADE.  2003  NOTE TO SESSION PLAYERS, RECORDING ARTISTS, AND STUDIOS:  If you are looking for a new guitar sound for your work, you should buy this guitar.  It is unusual enough to give you a new range of sounds and tones.     Another “oddity” from my collection: a “sub-Baritone” electric guitar.  I have always been fascinated by “alternative tunings” and Baritone guitars.  I bought this one directly from the USA importer for the Soares’y Family of Portugal. (NOTE:  The Soares’y Family has stopped building acoustic guitars like this one and only sells solid body electrics making this guitar even rarer). According to them, this was “a custom made 6 string electric Sub-Baritone large body Archtop guitar that was one of only two prototypes built for a proposed new line of guitars.  That “new” line stopped at just two guitars-this one and another (unknown owner). Details: 1.   Scale is 26”.  2.   Mahogany Neck.  3.   Solid Rosewood fingerboard.  4.   Adjustable truss rod.  5.   Heavy duty tuners.  6.   Neck is key fitted to body and glued.  7.   Neck is one piece behind the nut (not grafted).  8.   Nut is 1 ¾”,  9.   High quality Rosewood ply on sides and back.  10.   Top is Spruce.  11.   Body is “fully lined”.  12.   Has binding on front and back.  13.   Has two F holes.  14.   Finish is sunburst on front.  15.   Natural finish on back.  16.   Guitar is a “true acoustic”.  17.   Has DRS-100 blade pickup.  18.   500k volume and tone pots with 050 cap.  19.   ¼” Input jack mounted in rib.  20.   Set up with full set of bass strings from low E up. So it is more of an “E to E” than a “B to B” but can be set up as a “B to B” or as regular guitar.  Condition:  This guitar is in excellent operating condition and VERY GOOD cosmetic condition only showing slight dings, dents, scratches from casual playing. No case or gig bag for it but it will be wrapped well and packed securely for shipment.  Buyer will have 72 hours following receipt to inspect and play this guitar.  If any operational problems are found, it can be returned to buyer for repair or repair can be arranged at buyer location.  Should this guitar not perform as described it can be returned to seller for a full refund.  Buyer will pay shipping cost to return the guitar to Seller. Thanks.

ABOUT TUNEYOURSOUND. Tune Your Sound Sound Your Tune Guitars make Sounds ! Guitar players make Tunes. But which guitar makes your Tune best? The beginning point in making a tune is You. The music in your head goes to your hands which form chords and notes. The end point is the Tune heard by those listening created by the Sounds of the instruments in between. Our job at TuneYourSound.com (TYS) is to fill in the middle. Or, in other words, "complete the chain". We are guitar players and collectors at TuneYourSound.com. Collectively we have personally owned and played over 1800 guitars. And we have seen guitar players play-from Jimi using his teeth to Jimmy using his bow. And now, we want to tell you what we have learned over the years and under the stages. First: There should be two primary guitars in your life. The one you start with (by choice or coincidence) and the one you finish with (once you find it, you'll know it and keep it). But of course, humans are acquisitive by nature, so we are prone to own more than we need-but a guitar player must have what he really needs. Two: Sometimes it's better for a guitar to be heard than seen and other times it's better for a guitar to be seen than heard. So, play it both ways. Buy a guitar that does both. Three: Avoid the hype. Especially now with the Internet overloading us with data. Buy a guitar that you trust from someone you trust. Four: Make it personal. Establish a relationship with your seller. That way you will never be disappointed-nor abandoned. After all, it is still about money-your money. And you deserve to get more than you give. At TuneYourSound.com, we have the answer!
