The Altenburg pianos have been linked to Steinway as the less expensive model. Meticulously constructed with a special extension of he lower register strings that imparts a richer tone to the sound below middle C. It has an enlarged beefed up sound board which also enriches the sound. exterior of the piano has been refinished to bring out the beautiful texture of the mahogany. The felts and hammers were completely replaced some years ago, showing little wear (as can be seen in picture number four). The piano looks and sounds as it did when it was new. We have been the only owners of this piano. Shipping will be buy the buyer. Shipping within the Washington, DC metro area should range around $750. We have put a shipping price of $750.00.
