Rickenbacker Lap Steel Guitar and Amp 1948 to 1950 - $900 make / manufacturer: Rickenbackermodel name / number: ACE and M-10There are very few scratches, with very little signs of use. Really nice sheen for being 70+ years old! The tuners are original and the buttons do not have the common shrinking plastic problem. Body: Guitar shaped Bakelite body in brown finish. String-through body design with Bakelite bridge and pickup cover. Dual plastic control knobs.Neck: Square Bakelite neck with raised white frets, white dot inlays and a 2 1/8" Bakelite nut. Nickel three-on-a-strip tuners with ivoroid buttons. 22.5" scale length.Pickups/Electronics: Single coil pickup with master volume and tone controls.Weight: 6lbs, 1.0oz.Playability/Sound: Does not play, however, I took it into a Guitar store and it appears the cold soider ends need a little work. Probably $10 to $20 dollars worth of work, if that. Even if internals need to be replaced, which I doubt, $20 to $40 for everything new. This is a very rare model and all original. Case: Includes the original vintage chipboard case in rough condition. Since this fiber case is 70+ years old it shoes signs of wear and heavy use. 1940's M-10 Rickenbacker Amp. It works and has every original part including the tubes and speaker. Missing leather handle (easy to replace) and some wear on the exterior bottom of the amp, but sounds great. Both of these items belonged to my grandfather and he was first owner. I am asking a reasonable price at $750.00. Most of these you find will be in the $900 to 1400 range.
