80's METAL BEECHLER ALTO SAX MOUTHPIECE . SILVERSTEIN LIGATURE! This is a wonderful 80's Metal Beechler alto sax mouthpiece perfected by John Reilly marked 5 and opened to powerful .85 tip opening. This is the vintage hand finished by Charlie Black (Wow) and John Reilly. These are so hard to find and this is the vintage used by the top alto sax signature players in Groove Jazz and R&B including Everette Harp, Eric Mariethal, Dave Koz, Will Donato, Michael Paulo, Steve Cole ( On his early alto recordings) . The tip rails and tip work on these pieces is perfection and the current models, while great , don't have the same sonic of these early vintage pieces. The accuracy of the sound and intonation and consistency of these mouthpieces are one of the many reasons these pieces are still highly sought after and hold their value. This mouthpiece is from the collection of Groove Jazz star Will Donato and was used on many of his radio singles and CD's. For the collector, a certificate of authenticity will be provided. For the active player, you will not find anything like these at NAMM and they really to live up to there legacy as top players. Truly a great mouthpiece for live and studio recording the search for a signature alto mouthpiece ends here. I will include a handcrafted removable baffle for the winner. With the baffle option, it really makes this a truly versatile piece. I will do my best to provide a cap and lig on this beauty. This mouthpiece also comes, as respect to my fellow saxophonists,with one mouthpiece session with John Reilly. Great luck bidding. As a bonus a custom Silverstein ligature is included with this one of a kind mouthpiece. This mouthpiece and a Silverstein ligature is truly a slice of sonic heaven. These rarely come up in the playing condition on Ebay! Great Luck! These 1980's Bellite Beechlers are getting harder to find in this condition. I have a collection of these beauties; and I am hoping this goes to a professional player or a player looking to take his sound to another level!
