I am considering parting with my 1978NEVE AMS DMX-80S
Stereo Delay unit.In fantastic condition and working order.
This actual DMX can be heard on many great Aussie Rock classics.
Previously in production at Fast Forward Studios, NSW, which in turn became John Farnham's (Gotham Studios)
and then ended up at Metropolis Studios (South Melbourne). This unit comes with quite an amazing history.
John French,
who my father and I have both worked with, used this unit on Mondo Rock's 'Modern Bop' album.
You can hear the DMX on the guitar on "Come Said The Boy" when I listen to the track,
it's 'chorus-like' setting is very distinctive.
It really is a beautiful sounding unit and a piece of Australian Rock heritage.
Originally designed to meet BBC specifications, the DMX became a staple necessity of all the popular recording studios.
Known for it's pitch changing capabilities, it also gained much recognition for it's harmonizing capability. The amazing 90dB dynamic range, it's 10Hz - 18kHz Frequency Response and
a Total Harmonic Distortion of less than 0.035% stood right out from the crowd
giving the DMX demand by many of the worlds best engineers, producers, studios & artists. This unit has been serviced by Logitronics and is working perfectly.Read more about it on Vintage Digital:
