As with all Duesenberg guitars this is a great player, made even smoother with a satin neck, and it sounds great. The Starplayer Special takes you back to the start, this is a re-working of the very first Duesenberg guitar. Its alder body is combined with a solid maple top, and bolt on neck. One Grand Vintage pickup - in conjunction with the somewhat "hotter" Crunchbucker - delivers a penetrating and powerful rock sound, and the multi-tone potentiometer extends the possibilities beyond that, with several additional singlecoil-like sound options.Duesenberg guitars are made with exceptional care in Germany, all the parts including electronics, machine heads and even the strings are made by Duesenberg. This makes a Duesenberg guitar a very special and unique instrument.
