This ukulele is a beauty. Made by Dave Hurd in 1989, so it's one of his older ones. Made for Mickey, who was a lover of music till she passed away. This appears to have been rarely played, and kept stored in it's case. I have not even attempted to tune it, as that's better left to you! I am a mere amateur. I do believe the name can be removed. I will ship this professionally packed and well insured. No cracks or mars in the wood that I can tell. As you probably know, Dave no longer makes ukuleles, and his are treasured by collectors all over the world. It's rare to see them anywhere anymore....message me with any questions you may have.
