Offered here is a 1919 Conn Melody C Saxophone with original case. Silver plated with gold plated bell. Serial Number is 57809. The sax has been re-padded with high quality pads. It's clean and in good to very good condition. It does maintain some aged patina and there are a few minor dings and dents, but over all it's in very nice shape for its age. The mouth piece is original and shows expected wear but seems to function as it should. The case looks original, bears the Conn logo and shows expected wear for its age. The handle is intact but very worn. The corners of the case look to have been reglued. The cover material and inside material is worn at the corners and loose in some spots, happens with cases of this age. All in all, the case is solid and should function if care is taken with the handle. I'm a novice player and the sax plays for me but as with any vintage/antique instrument, it may need to be adjusted to suit your playing style. It is available to preview if that's a logistical possibility for you.This seems to be a great example of a Melody C, is playable and should make a nice edition to a collection or a great player for someone who is looking for this type of horn.Please see pictures for cosmetic condition and contact me with any questions or for more information.
