It comes with a built in 3 position Pickup, with end pin jack that sounds beautiful through an acoustic amp. The top is made of solid hand carved and graduated spruce and fitted with scalloped X spruce tone bars. The neck is fitted with a rosewood fretboard, polished bone nut (3 cm) and an adjustable truss rod. The neck, back and sides are carved from flamed maple. The finish is a beautiful rich amber with a thin lacquer finish. I love the way the amber brings out all the gorgeous wood grain in the spruce and maple. Acoustically, the sound is very open and woody. It just flows. The neck plays very easy. Check out some of the other mandolins we have built at clarindasmusic.com on line.
