Zon Sonus 5 Bass Black Redwood Burl Beauty
Estimated price for orientation: 2 900 $
Category: Bass Guitars
Class:
Description Brand: Zon Dexterity: Right-Handed Model: Sonus Country/Region of Manufacture: United States String Configuration: 5 String
Beautiful 2012 Zon Sonus Custom 5 with gallery grade water cured (blackened) redwood top. Bass has been played, so it shows some insignificant signs of use. I've pictured the notables. This is a fantastic instrument that cost $5,600 brand new in 2012, and would run well over $6k today. You would be looking at a lengthy wait too. I've played bass for 20+ years, and have owned at least 15 ZON's in that time period. I always come back to them, as the composite neck is hard to beat. The neck just doesn't move. Once new strings are broken in you rarely have to tune it. It has a truss rod, but you'll most likely never need it. Notable marks would be the obligatory ZON neck pocket crack. Almost every, if not every single one of the gloss finished ZON's I've had suffer from this. My guess is because the body expands and contracts, but the neck does not this happens. Plus the neck pocket tolerances are extremely tight. It's cosmetic and has no impact on the instrument. There's a notable ding between the pickups between the A/D strings. One other mark near the contour is also pictured.ZON Sonus Custom 5Gallery Grade Black Redwood TopWenge Tone PlateAsh BodyGloss Finish34" scale, 17mm spacing, 8.5 pounds, 24 fretsBartolini PickupsZON Polyfusion Preamp (3 Band)Gold HardwareGig Bag or HSC (your choice)Please ask questions before buying. I've been here since 1999 with all positive feedback, and much of that has been high end basses. I only buy/sell the good stuff.
