Description
Here is an antique cornopean manufactured by Coste around 1875 in Paris. This is a great example of an early cornet. This horn is free of major dents. It has only minor wear and signs of use, which is to be expected on an instrument of this vintage (see photos). It appears to have a raw brass finish, which is in very good condition. It also comes with two crooks (they play in low pitch A and A-flat) and a mouthpiece. There is no evidence of dent work/repair. It is in good playing condition - all valves and slides move freely.Bell diameter: 4.75"Bore diameter at the tuning slide: .442"Overall length: 11.5"This horn probably does not have the original case - it has a (antique) leather saddle bag case which has wear and signs of use. Please have a look at the photos and email with questions. Thanks for looking!(40)
