This is a 2013 American Vintage Series '65 AVRI Strat. Lightweight at only 7.3 pounds. It's in good condition, as shown in the photos. Just had an incredible professional setup done by Maple Street Guitars in Atlanta. Plays really nicely, bends all over the neck without choking out, and has more acoustic resonance and unplugged tone than most of the guitars I've played. Not to mention great vintage correct mid-60's sounds when plugged in. Absolutely nails the early Hendrix tones, i.e. What he played on his Monterrey strat. I personally think the neck is the most comfortable 21st century neck I've ever played shape-wise. I'm selling because I need to fund a restoration project. The guitar is functionally perfect, with light cosmetic wear. One tuner was replaced with another fender vintage reissue tuner as the original one came bent. The guitar wasn't gigged and was only enjoyed at home. Frets are in great shape. The finish has yellowed beautifully and naturally over the last three or four years for a very genuine vintage look. It is slowly developing very, very light cosmetic checking/cracking on the body finish (custom shop customers often pay extra to fake that), just as the vintage originals did. It's currently too little to show up in pics or see unless you look really closely, but will increase over the years, like any vintage Fender. This shows how close this guitar’s finish is to vintage Fender’s original finishes. The think skin flash coat nitrocellulose lacquer finish on these is designed to do just that. It seriously gives the guitar a more open, woody, and less stifled voice that I just love. Comes as seen in the pictures, with everything seen in the pictures.
