This is one of the more spectacular ARCUS bows. The S series are made in the original Arcus factory using the best materials. This bow is ultra light weighing 47 grams and plays beautifully. I am listing the bow as "USED" but it is in "LIKE NEW" condition and was barely played. It was purchased in November 2016 and I tried very hard to like this bow. For me, it is too light as I play modern 5 and 6 string instruments and the weight just doesn't pull the tone out of the lower strings. The bow will shine for a soloist on an acoustic 4 string instrument. Anyone who has ever played on one of these knows exactly what I am talking about. I had various ARCUS bows on trial and they all play differently. The lower priced examples simply do not compare to this S series bow. It has a modern frog made from snakewood and an inlaid sterling silver ring. New, these bows cost $2600.00 and Arcus will be raising their prices soon according to the dealer who sold me this bow. Take this opportunity to save on this used bow in LIKE NEW condition!
