For sale is a vintage Meyer New York USA Alto saxophone mouthpiece. These mouthpieces are considered to be the "holy grail" of alto mouthpieces and this one definitely fits the bill. This is the earliest version of the NY Meyers, with the very scooped sidewalls and table diamond touching the very bottom of the table. This is all original, never worked on 7M Medium Chamber facing, never refaced. It's very hard to find these early versions in the larger tips without any work done to them. It's in great condition, it has some discoloration which you can see in the pictures, but it's acquired a very interesting and unique speckled look. The tip and rails are in perfect shape and all logos are still fully visible. Some light scratches on the table, and some surface wear around the tip, but no serious wear. Always played with a tooth patch. Comes with the original "Bros" box stamped 7M Medium Chamber that is a little dirty, but it in great shape. It has a beautiful sound, very full and powerful (think Phil Woods and Cannonball) and would work amazingly in any playing scenario. HAPPY BIDDING!
