For sale here is a pair of clarinets - marked foreign, but with no other maker details, these are probably French and judging from the age and the case, perhaps dating from the 1940s or 1950s - but this is only a guess. The clarinets have been well-used. The keys are patinated, and I have not had time to try to polish them up. I have had both clarinets serviced, new pads where necessary have been fitted and the mechanism regulated and they both blow well in my view. The case is a bit weather-beaten as you might expect, so sold as seen in the pictures. These would be ideal for an advancing student or an orchestral player on a budget, looking for a pair of wooden clarinets with character.There is a small very fine hairline crack in the B Flat at the top of the right hand joint, but this does not lose air. I am rationalising my collection of musical instruments, as I need to make some space. I am pricing them to sell but will consider sensible offers. Many thanks for looking.
