This Yamaha flugelhorn has a silver finish and has only been polished by cloth, not solvents.The valves are light-to-the-touch and even more so when properly lubricated with standard valve oil.The spit valves are fully operational and do not leak any air.The tuning slides move freely.The tone will make you one mellow fellow. I used a Bach 10 1/2c mouthpiece and deep rich tones in all registers is the end result.The upper register projects very clean as well. If you love playing cool or hot jazz and ballads, duets, etc, this is the horn for you.Comes with Yamaha basic case in good shape. I only ship within the Continental United States
