The Tomatito Chanca Model Flamenca Negra is the product of an on-going collaboration between two of Spain's leading luthiers, Juan Miguel González and Vicente Carrillo, and one of Spain's foremost flamenco guitarists, José Fernández Torres ‘Tomatito.' Each man brings his depth of personal experience to this model. Each guitar is signed by the makers, as well as by ‘Tomatito,' and each has been personally inspected and approved Tomatito as meeting his high standards for sound and playablity. The 1a Chanca is the top this line of signature model guitars. This guitar has the power, authentic rasp, and depth of tone that one expects in a concert flamenca negra. It is very well balanced with bright and aggressive trebles, deep and firm bases, with fast attack, shorter sustain that defines the great flamenco guitars. It is well set up, with a low comfortable action for easy playability. It comes with a Spanish made Cibeles Deluxe hard shell case. This guitar is an exceptional value.

Luthier Information: His professional experience comes from the lengthy history of the Carrillo family (since 1.744), out of which, he is the seventh generation guitar maker. This was the decisive factor for him being honored with the Regional Craftsmanship award in 2009 and subsequently, the National Award in 2010.His guitars also have a very special sound, reaching an adequate balance between potent basses and sweet sounding trebles.
