THIS IS A YAMAHA YCL 221 BASS CLARINET IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. LOOKS FABULOUS. ALL SHINY KEYS. PLAYS JUST FINE. PADS, CORKS ARE FINE. NO DINGS OR DENTS ANYWHERE. REALLY IN GREAT SHAPE. COMES WITH A NEW PROTEC CASE AND A FOLDING STAND. LIGHTLY USED BY A PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN. WHAT HE DID WAS TO PROTECT THE 2 MAJOR PIECES WAS HAVE THEM BRACED TOGETHER TO MAKE ONE PIECE. THIS IS PERMANENTLY DONE. YOU CAN SEE IT IN THE NEXT TO LAST PHOTO. THE PREVIOUS OWNER SAID IT MAKES IT CLARINET MORE STABLE AND THEY WERE PRONE TO DAMAGE IN THE JOINTS. I DON'T THINK IT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE. JUST ONE PIECE. ABN RESIN BODY. I ACTUALLY PLANNED ON KEEPING AND PLAYING THIS AS I USED TO PLAY THE CLARINET BUT I DON'T HAVE THE WIND FOR IT ANYMORE I DISCOVERED. IT REALLY SOUNDS JUST GREAT. ALSO, HE PUT SOME TAPE AROUND THE MOUTHPIECE TO HELP IT GO IN BUT YOU CAN TAKE IT OFF. THIS BASS CLARINET WAS WELL MAINTAINED AND REALLY IN QUITE EXCELLENT CONDITION.
