Selling my vintage Kalamazoo (made by Gibson in Gibson Factory). I unfortunately do not get to play guitar much anymore. I have several others and need to clear out for some holiday funds. I am hopeful my cool Kalamazoo will go to a good home and be played as intended. I have owned dozens of good guitar over the years and played many many vintage guitars. This is the first vintage guitar that I have owned. I am by no means a professional or expert on the subject and I will provide as much and as accurate informations i can regarding this guitar. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like any additional information. I will be more than happy to help where i can. I have researched as much as possible before I purchased it and again for accurate listing information. From this research I believe this is a 1939 era Kalamazoo KG22 with pressed solid spruce top and solid maple sides and laminate maple back. Kalamazoo guitars where made by gibson as a less expensive option to there "gibson" branded guitars. They follow very closely to their gibson brand cousins and sound exceptional. as per the adverts "The Kalamazoo brand of musical instruments was marketed as “The World’s Greatest Value”. The quality of Gibson's manufacturing at Great Depression era prices."This KG-22 is in excellent (for its age) condition. There are some minor dings and scratches through out (play marks and scratches on front, dings on Back of neck etc). Nothing major that takes from it beauty. I have included many photos please review them.  There is zero damage, breaks or cracks anywhere. All seams are tight. The neck is STRAIGHT as an arrow. Neck angle is spot on and action is low with adjustment left up or down. The neck is vintage "V" profile and is very very comfortable to the hand. This kg-22 plays beautifully and sounds excellent, like an old vintage guitar should. The tuners are original, The tuner buttons have been changed previously with era correct style buttons. I believe the bridge is not original as it seems to new (un aged) for this guitars age. It looks similar to original ones iv seen online. Headstock is stamped "EK 3774" I believe the pick guard is original along with chrome mounting hardware. Which has some pitting and discoloration as expected. The strap pin is missing and will need replaced.Guitar has been cleaned and setup and is ready to play. Listing includes the original hard case which is not in great condition but it will help protect the guitar in transit. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I am open to all fare offers. Low ball offers will not be considered however :-)Shipping will be free and I will choose the fastest most economical option to get the guitar to it new owner quickly and safely.Due to the items value and how fragile and expensive an old guitar is to ship I will not be accepting returns on this item. Please be sure this is the guitar for you before purchase, ask any and all information before purchase. I will be available to answer. If the unthinkable was to happen in transit I will of course be available to assist the wining bidder. But returns are not accepted on this item for reasons stated. I sincerely hope you can understand this. Thanks for looking. Happy bidding.
