1941 VINTAGE HARMONY/ KAY F HOLE ARCH TOP MAPLE BACK AND SIDES & NECK, FAUX FINISH ON TOP OF THE MAPLE, SPRUCE TOP AND THE VERY COOL SEGMENTED F HOLES THIS HAS THE UPGRADE SPRUCE TOP
This is a very cool old guitar. It was built in the 1941 before the War the actual month is listed but I will keep that to myself to protect the new buyer. It is in Nice condition overall, it would be a Wonderful display guitar. The action is high and a neck adjustment would be in order or it can be played just as it is. Has a nice set of vintage tuners for sure original, the bridge & tailpiece look to be original . The body is maple , the top is Solid spruce and the fingerboard may possibly be pearwood stained to ebony color if my memory is correct. I was told by a kind eBay member that this is a KAY It does have some odd tuners and it has a different dating system than I have seen on a Harmony so he is probably right. Action is approx. 1/4" + as it is right now, the scale length is 25 3/4", nut width is 1 3/4" . Lower bout is 15 1/4" Upper bout 11 1/4" and it is 3 1/2" thick at the tailpiece these measurements are just approx. not exact.
Doesn't have a serial number that I can find.
Please take a good look at the pictures they give a good look at the condition of this guitar. The guitar is playable and would make a fantastic display item and would be a nice addition to a collection. And its priced reasonable. It has a very unique case with a leathery pattern looks original to me.
From my inspection I believe this guitar is all solid woods as are all harmony I have seen from this era . It does have a case & it will be well packed.
